Cardio Kickbox Program


Rythmic-Cardio classes include a small warm-up and stretch, followed by a cardiovascular, aerobic section that incorporates a variety of punches, kicks and other self-defense techniques, that tone and strengthen.  Sparring or kicking combinations may then be executed on the hand, held targets, providing resistance for further muscle toning and strengthening.  The last portion,
of this class will include a variety of toning, stretching, self-defense techniques and/or ab work, including Pilates. 

Bag or Target classes include a small warm-up and stretch, followed by intense focus on execution of a combination of punches and kicks on the punching bags or hand-held targets.
  Again, the principle of resistance is used to strengthen and tone.  Other fitness techniques may be incorporated into the class as determined by the instructor (ie. ab work, self-defense techniques, pilates, etc.).

Resistance classes are designed to develop lean muscle mass that makes our bodies more calorie efficient, fat burning machines.  We alternate the  lower body workout, which is the legs, glutes, and abs, with the upper body workout which covers the chest, back, shoulders, triceps and biceps.  We use Spri resistance tubing and weighted medicine balls in these classes.
